ECTS offers individual play therapy sessions for children aged 3-13 years old who have experinced loss through bereavement, family breakdown, divorce or separation, witnessed violence or abuse,have been abused, neglected or traumatised, have emotional or behavioural difficulties arising from their experiences and who are ill,disabled or who cope with carers or siblings with disabilities.
The aim of play therapy is to provide an opportinity for children to make sense of their experiences and find better ways to cope. ECTS uses creative approaches, art and play, to help children explore difficult and painful experinces in a safe and supportive environment.
Play therapy is a means of offering help. We also offer workshops and training around specific issues such as abuse, bereavement and loss.
Qualifications & Training
MA in Non-Directice Play Therapy (child-centred) British Association of Play Therapits member (BAPT) BA (Hons) in Education and Early Childhood Education Studies
